I saw Ken Russell’s THE DEVILS for the first time last night on the big screen at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. It totally blew my mind. As a big fan of Russells from TOMMY, CRIMES OF PASSION and LAIR OF THE WHITE WORM…I was shocked to discover I hadn’t seen the best film of his career. THE DEVILS is a shocking, disturbing, beautiful, phantasmagoric and transcendent cinematic tour de force. Lynn Redgrave’s performance as a possessed…or is she deranged, nun is something to behold.
